Release Notes

Method CRM Updates - April 5 - April 23, 2012

The following indicates which accounting application(s) the release note(s) apply to.

  • QBD = QuickBooks Desktop
  • QBO = QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks Estimate

  • New (#3217) - if the “Email notification when saving?” checkbox is checked, a special miURL email gets sent to the customer.  When the customer clicks this link, they are prompted to enter in their email address as part of the authentication process.  Some of the feedback we received suggested that some customers simply don’t want the added step of entering their email address.  Of course entering the email address is more secure then logging them directly into their portal account.  To help scratch the itch we’ve now updated the estimate screen to take advantage of the single sign in option from within the portal settings.

To enable this, click Customize > Portals and edit the portal (likely the Contacts Portal).  Once in the edit screen, check the option for “Enable single-click sign in for emailed links”. (QBD & QBO)

Cheers,

Danny Cool

great job! now all thats left is to make the invoices ONE CLICK as all the same customers which so far is 90% of everyone i've sent the estimates too cannot figure out to click the invoice then click the adobe icon which i will admit is confusing and seems quite pointless it should be even easier to simply code the action of clicking the invoice number or whatnot that already has a hyperlink to pull up the invoice in pdf why make them click twice?
