Automatically select dropdown within an activity

For a New Activity I want to do the following:

    • Select an Activity Type from that dropdown (eg. Level 1 Exam).
    • Launch a series of actions from that text change, specifically:
      • Check the "Send and Email" box (which works)
      • Select the "Level 1 Exam" email template (which doesn't work).

I am using an "Enter a Value into the Field On Screen" action to populate the words "Level 1 Exam" into the email template dropdown, but the template does not show up, and the actions associated with selecting that template (eg. populating the CC; and BCC: fields, etc.) do not engage either.

Is there a way to have an action in my Activity Type dropdown that actually SELECTS the desired email template instead of just populating the words? Or do I need another action to "refresh" the email template dropdown?

    Thanks

    Answer

Never mind, there were multiple issues. Yes, I did call the action sets for the fields, and that worked after I removed some "Stop Processing All Actions" that caused subsequent action sets to stop. I thought those only applied WITHIN action sets. Also, making this work for pop-up and non-pop-up screens proved challenging, but in the end things worked out.
