Cases and emailing more than one contact

    Cases and emailing more than one contact

    Greetings,

    When creating a case, I need to have 4 people infomed that a case was created. I thought by adding the 4 contacts in the customer file would do the trick but its not working.  The only person that is getting emailed is the first contact.  I see that the person that is getting a email has the word contact, under the type collum.  Is there anouther way?

    Will those 4 people be ablel to log on into the customer portal and review this case as well?

    Hi John,

    In the cases screen only the contact you select will get the case notification, but this is something that can be changed. Take a look at how sending an email from the invoice screen works, it sends it to all the contacts that are not opted out of billing.

    Another option that may work that would involve no customization (I haven't tested this but I think it would work) is to create a contact that has everyones email address in the email field seperated by a ';' and then select that contact when you want to email multiple contacts for that customer.

    Hey Michael,

    I tried the no customization way and it worked. Just make sure there a no spaces when you add the ";"

    Anouther issues popped up. When i sent the case i got the email and it had a mini URL. When pressing it, it took me to a screen and asked for my email address and password.   Is this becasue Method knows im the Admin?  

    I am going to send you a email that should have a link to the portal.

    John-

    Normally 2 emails are sent out, one to the contact for the case and one to the user who is assigned to the case, the username and password it is requesting is in your case(Based on the link you emailed me) is the login for the Contact which will take them to the portal.
