A user emailed in with this question: I am missing something, I cannot convert an estimate to a sales order and then to an invoice. Is this something that needs to be turned on?

From the Customers>Estimates tab link, you will see a button at the bottom of the screen called More actions.... If you click this button, you should get the option to create a sales order. See my screenshot below:
Remember that this feature will not be available in a Method for Quickbooks Online account because sales orders are not included with Quickbooks Online, only Quickbooks Desktop.
The Create Sales Order link will create your sales order and take you to the Customers>Sales Orders tab link, where you can find a similar button called Create Invoice....
