Prblem with Item Groups in Quickbooks

We use Item Groups in Quickbooks (quite a few actually) and those same numbers do translate to Method, however they do not carry over the Group items that are assocaited.  Method needs to poll our QB item master before adding the items to the Estimate/Sales Order.

So, when entering the Item Group, the line appears at zero cost and won't properly calculate a discount line item etererd just below.

Our issue is that once you add another line after the Item Group Line (discounts in our case) and update/save, Method pulls the Item Group Data from QB and adds it to the next free line on the estimate/sales order, fouling up our discounts.

Is there a way to pull the Item Group information into Method and have it reside there so that when a Item Group is entered, it immdiately "explodes" the items associated?

    Hello Mike,
I don't believe there is a way to make it "explode" automatically.  There is an 'Update' link on the bottom right of the grid that will expand the group items once you place the Group item in the grid.  Then you can apply your discount to the proper line item.
Also, you can't change the line item order.  You will have to either do a subtotal with a discount to put a discount on the group or you can delete/add back the discounted line item and then add the discount line below.
