Lance, There might be some really good reasons why Method auto indexes ref numbers in the way it does since QB does some weird things with automatic indexing of ref numbers.  For example Quickbooks uses the same ref number index for Invoices and Credit Memo's.  So, for example if we add some alpha characters to the Credit Memo ...

Update.  I was able to fix this problem by deleting the controls from the layout and then re-adding them.  Somehow the data binding got buggered, not sure how but they work now. Cheers, James

Jason, Have you tested this to see if it works this way?  This thread was started when I found those Actions did not work as documented or expected.  I haven't gone back to try these again.  I would really like to be able to use Save Grid Row in conjunction with Insert New Row. James

Down the rabbit hole you go.  I think I gave up on trying to use grid update in Actions.  I couldn't get it to work.  I either had to have the user do it by the button or have the action sequence save all sections.
