Best way to copy a sales order

I need a general idea of how to approach creating a function button on our sales order screen.  The function will copy the current SalesOrder row and its related SalesOrderLine rows into a new Sales Order with a few changed values on the new SalesOrder, such as setting "waiting for sync = true".  Once the new SalesOrder/SalesOrderLine rows are created, the Sales Order screen would point to and display the new Sales Order, then require new DueDate and ShipDate values on the copied/new Sales Order.

    Ideas?  Thanks!

    Hey Robert,

If you look at the stock Estimate screen under More Actions you will see listed 'Create Sales Order'

You can reverse-engineer the Action Set for that button and use its actions (modified) to create a Copy Sales Order button for your Sales Order screen.

Let me know if you run into any difficulties and we can dive deeper.
