    Customizing Forms

We are a service business. Our work is done at customer sites. How can we customize certain forms such as estimates, work orders, sales orders and invoices to include customer "Ship to" (what we call "site") addresses, contact names and phone numbers?

    Hi Matt,

You are going to want to take a look at the Method Report Designer Webinars found HERE. They should get you started with customizing Method Reports(Invoices, Estimates, Sales Orders, etc..)

    Re: Customizing Forms

Looked at the webinars on Report Designer prior to posing this question. I have also used the Report Designer to customize reports before contacting you today.  The fields that I wish to add are not in the Field List Window.  For example, in the "Simple Estimate" template, there is no "Customer Phone" available.  How do I add additional fields to the field list window so that they can be added to reports?

I need site addresses, contact names and phone numbers in my estimate forms so that my estimators have all the contact information they need to contact the site manager if my estimators have questions about the scope of work to be completed while at the customer site.

    Matt,

You can use linked fields to get this information onto an Estimate (or any other transastion) and onto a print out. If you look for the Estimate table under Customize > Tables / Fields and click Edit Fields, select Add a linked field and for Link Using select Customer, this should populate the Linked Field drop down to show all the fields within the customer table which you can add to the estimate table. Once the fields are added they will be avalible for both use in report designer and in screen customization.
