SAP client install procedures
Solution No. 19

While SAP is one of the best accounting packages out there, getting all of it's addons to work can be a real pain!  Follow the steps below EXACTLY and IN ORDER to ensure things work 100%.

  1. Join PC to domain if not yet done
  2. Install MS Office
  3. Install ALL .NET versions (v1, v2, v3, +) 
  4. Install all available Windows updates
  5. Setup the user account for the employee to have full local PC admin rights
  6. login to the computer as that employee username
  7. Install the SAP client software
  8. Open up MS Excel, check to ensure macros security is disabled
  9. Check "Trust access to VBA project object model" under Trust Center.
  10. Run SAP, configuring the proper server
  11. Login to SAP as the "manager" account
  12. Wait patiently as ALL SAP add-ons get installed
  13. Test out XL reporter reports to ensure they run properly
  14. Once the user has logged into SAP, and tested a few XL reports, you can remove them from local admin rights
