The earlier posts in the Help Center were focused on creating and then editing everything from the Customers for SaaSphalt screen because nearly every area of SaaSphalt is made available from that section.

Though the Customers for SaaSphalt screen might be the most convenient way of finding all the information about a single customer, the entire process from customer creation to generating a proposal can also be done by starting from the Proposals tile. This method can actually be a faster and more convenient method in practice, because you will likely want to input as much information as you can as soon as possible. And in many cases, the estimation process happens after the initial phone conversation, so having the customer and proposal information already available to the estimator allows both the person answering the phone and the person perfoming the estimates to focus on a singular task at a time. 

1. From the Dashboard click New on the Proposals tile.

2. In the Customer drop box click Add New Customer.

3. Follow the steps 4-9 as seen in Creating a New Customer to create the new customer. This will then take you back to the New Proposal screen with the created customer and contact information already selected.

4. Follow steps 6-9 as seen in Adding a Proposal to a Customer’s Account. 

5. Click Save and Edit. This will take you to the Edit Proposal screen

6. In the Edit Proposal screen clicking on New in the Activities, Measurements, or Pictures tabs you can add:

• Activities (as seen in Adding Activities to a Customer’s Account)

• Measurements (as seen in Adding Measurements to a Customer’s Account)

• Pictures (as seen in Adding Pictures to a Customer’s Account)

7. Follow steps 11-14 as seen in Adding a Proposal to a Customer’s Account.

8. Click Save
