Sign in with Intuit
Solution No. 180

If you have an existing Intuit ID, you can use those credentials to sign into Method. The following steps will show you how.

Use Intuit to sign in[top]

  1. First, go to Method's sign in page.
  2. From there, click Sign in with Intuit, which will take you to this screen:
  3. Enter the email address and password you use to sign into Intuit, then click Sign In.
  4. You’ll be taken to an authorization screen that will tell you Method will be able to access your Name and Email Address. Click Authorize to continue.
  5. Next, you’ll be asked to choose which QuickBooks Online account you’d like to connect to. Choose it from the list by clicking on it (if you only have one, only one will be displayed!)
  6. You’ll be asked for authorization one last time for Intuit to connect to Method. You’ll then be sent right to your Method dashboard.

And that’s it! From this point forward you can simply click “Sign in with Intuit” from our sign-in page, and you’ll be automatically signed into Method with your Intuit credentials.

Disconnect your Intuit account[top]

At some point you way wish to disassociate your Intuit account from your Method account. Here's how to do it.

  1. Scroll over the top right hover menu and click My Profile > Connected Accounts.
  2. Next to Intuit, click Disconnect.

And that's it! You're disconnected! But don't worry – if you want to reconnect your account, just follow the steps above.

FAQ[top]

Why should I use my Intuit account to sign into Method?

In a word? Convenience!  It's one less password you have to remember – and since your user name is your email address, it’s a lot easier to remember one password than your Method Company Account, User Name and Password. Plus, if you have multiple Method accounts, the same Intuit Account can be used to log into all of them.

How do I create an Intuit account if I don't already have one?

If you use QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks.com, QuickBooks Payroll, QuickBooks Merchant Services, or any other Intuit service, you already have an Intuit Account! But if you don't, just go to this link, fill out the fields, and click Create Account.

Is it secure?

When you sign in with your Intuit Account, you are entering your Intuit password on Intuit's servers.  Intuit never shares your Intuit password with Method, and Method never shares your Method password with Intuit.
